The Mobile Indian interviewed Gagan Arora, the marketing director of IQOO which is the sub-brand of Vivo. In the interview, the senior executive told that the company is going to expand the IQOO brand in India. IQOO which stands for I Quest On and On is going to reveal two new smartphones in India in the second week of February.
Both the phones will be following the same specifications and design concept. But one of them will be the first 5G smartphone in the country. Gagan is responsible for the marketing of the iQOO brand in India and he also revealed that phones will be exclusive to India. He also added that the new industry-first new battery technology will be there on the phones.
The Vivo Super FlashCharge will be the technology that Gagan was mentioning. The phones will support 55W Ultra-Fast Charging. The senior marketing executive also revealed that the 5G variant will have Snapdragon 865 SoC under the helm. Though no details about the second smartphone were revealed.
There are possibilities that the other variant will also feature the same Snapdragon 865 SoC but without Snapdragon X55 modem which is responsible for 5G connectivity. Also, there is another possibility for the presence of new 720G SoC as it is introduced especially for the need of the Indian smartphone market.
Gagan Arora, the senior marketing director also mentioned that a new office is already set up in Bengaluru which a team of 80 people. The manufacturing will be shared at Vivo’s facilities in Noida, U.P., India. He also happily announced that all the products will be totally Make in India.
